Saturday Snapshot 5th January

Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.

The rules are simple:

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

Summer in Australia is all about the beaches (for me and my family anyway!)

Over the next few weeks I'll highlight some of our favourite spots to cool down on a hot day.

Post Stephens is just north of Newcastle.
It's the perfect family holiday spot.
Easy access, lots of different beaches and rainy day activities nearby.

Shoal Bay is nestled inside the heads and quite sheltered.

Dolphins often play in the shallows or race the many cruise boats.

Biribi Beach is coastal.

It's suitable for body boarding and surfing.

The Stockton sanddunes are nearby.
On cooler days you can go sandboarding (yes, that's me!)

Soldier's Point is a quiet little fishing spot...with quiet, little fish!! 

But the best days are spent lazing by the water, under our umbrella!
