Spring in Sydney

Last weekend I visited the David Jones Flower Show...to see an indoor display of natives and exotics.

And this weekend I strolled through the Royal Botanic Gardens, taking oodles of photos while trying not to sneeze!

Jacaranda Time

November is jacaranda time in Sydney.

The streets of home are a gorgeous shade of purple.
Their petals litter the paths and gutters and verges, carpeting the world in a violet haze.

The stunning purple skyline looks fabulous against blue skies, grey skies, buildings and walls.

If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen some of these earlier.
I do not apologise at all!
They only flower for one brief month & I am determined to make the most of their beauty.

Summer Flowers

I love a good macro shot.
I like to snap the flowers I see when out walking.
Here are a few of the most recent finds.

It's Jacaranda Time in Sydney

I love Jacarandas - from the very first tender blooms to the full blown purple canopy.
I love the new green leaves that start to peep through half way through the flowering season.
I even love them scattered over the path after a rain storm.
Part of the reason I love them so much is that they are our wedding anniversary flower.
Six years ago today, Mr Seasons and I pledged our troth in front of our family and friends.

For me Jacaranda flowers equal happy memories and love.
