Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by
Alyce at At Home With
Books.
The rules are simple:
To participate in the
Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have
taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be
old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for
all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you.
Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
It wouldn't be summer in the coastal areas of Australia without the scent of frangipani.
Be at War with your Vices, at Peace with your Neighbours, and let every New-Year find you a better Man.
~Quoted in Benjamin Franklin's 1755 Poor Richard's Almanac, December
Happy New Year!
Wow, what a beautiful, elegant flower! Thanks for posting. :) (Great quote, too. Happy new year!)
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beeautiful and I love the Ben Franklin quote! Have a great day and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of frangipani, but did not know it was a beautiful flower. (Ashamed to admit I thought it was something to do with marzipan.) It would be great if smells could come through the computer wires.
ReplyDeleteThe flower does look like it's made of spun sugar, so in that way it must be related to marzipan. Thanks for educating those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell them! They are so gorgeous....thanks!
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
What gorgeous flowers! I've never seen one of those before. Have a happy and healthy 2013!
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what a beautiful scent they must have!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...thanks. I would much rather be looking at these out my window instead of six inches of snow.
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog for a snowy photo from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Happy New Year!!

Frangipani is so lovely! I've only seen it in person once (in Hawaii), but I would love to see it again.

ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by and visiting!
So lovely!
ReplyDeleteI used to carry a few petals of frangipani in my pocket when I was young. The fragrance lasted for days.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful clear photos.
I love frangipani too. I miss it actually living out in the country.
