One of the tips we got about spending time in Havana was to do the hop on/hop off double decker bus tour. We had three days to explore Havana, but knew it wasn't anywhere near enough time to see everything we wanted to. The bus tour took us out to some of the suburbs, past the Embassy & diplomatic area, the cemetery and the harbour. We stopped at Revolutionary Square for several hours, before heading back to Habana Vieja for another wander.
Today's pictures are some of the sights we spotted from the bus.

It’s the brilliant colors of the houses I like so much about Havana. Thank you for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the new picture book, All the Way to Havana? You must look at it.

All the colors remind me of some of my favorite cities, SF included. How great to see these sights from the bus. Thanks for sharing, and here are MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOTS

I had a dream today, that me, my family and friends are flying to Cuba.... Beautiful images. What contrast between massive, rich ship and old, poor building.
ReplyDeleteWow, more gorgeous photos! I just love the colorful buildings and old architecture there. And it all looks extra-beautiful against the brilliant blue sky. What an amazing trip you had!
