We're holidaying in Western Australia for a week.
Here's a few quick snaps from day 1 - the road trip from Perth to Denmark on the south coast.
So far it looks very similar to country NSW or country Victoria.
Rose maze at Kojonup. It was dry and dusty but the scent was divine.
Lovely pate platter (& Sav Blanc Semillon) for lunch at West Cape Howe Winery near Mount Barker.
I love the agapanthus - especially the purple ones.
Finally, I love the bark colourings on the gum trees. The gum trees in WA grow so straight and tall. They're beautiful.
This is my first attempt to post using my smart phone and the blogger app - fingers crossed and apologies for any weird glitches in the way it's presented this week.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with the ones you love.
Happy New Year!
See you in 2014 xo
Oh lucky you Brona. I'd love to spend more time in WA. I keep going back to France though. Your mobile blogging worked perfectly. The first shot is perfect, so Australian, it couldn't be anywhere else. i love agapnathus too, we've got quite a lot in the back yard.
ReplyDeleteI was last in southern WA in 1999. This time I'm seeing it with Mr Seasons :-)
