Winter Flowers

I love taking photos of flowers that I see on my walks and in my garden.
We've had a glorious winter this year in Sydney -
lots of sunny days and spectacular sunsets.
Below are just a few examples...

I've also had a guest post published on our local farmer's market page after my recent blogs.
You can click here to check it out.

Saturday Snapshot is a now being hosted by Melinda from West Metro Mommy

The rules are simple:

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

    1. Most of these photos were taken on my smart phone and filtered through the Instagram app. It's not always possible to get really clear close-ups with the phone camera, but occassionally I get lucky with one like the daisy photo :-)

  5. Nice! Your winter looks like my spring. A winter flower in Chicago is a dead flower. Yours are much prettier.

    1. When I lived in Western NSW our winters were much harder and barer. Which is probably why I appreciate the much milder (and more colourful) winters in Sydney.

  10. Thank you all for the lovely comments.
A Sydney winter can be quite wonderful, and this year has been one of those wonderful years. Although, the lovely sunny days also means no rain - which is not a good sign for the coming spring and summer.
The flowers in order are violet, flowering gum (Aust native), swamp foxtail grass (Aust native), magnolia, daisy, jasmine (which has only just started flowering this past week), serruria florida (part of the protea family from South Africa) & wattle (Aust native).
