Saturday
Snapshot is a meme hosted by
Alyce at At Home With
Books.
The rules are simple:
To participate in the
Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have
taken and leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be
old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for
all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you.
Please don’t post random photos that you find online.
This week's beach photos come from North Haven, NSW.
We have had several family Christmas' at North Haven, a quiet little township just south of Port Macquarie.
The beach is long, perfect for walking along early in the morning.
The surf is great for swimming and boogey boarding.
A breakwall runs along the southern edge of the beach - dolphins love to come in and play with the change of the tides.
It's a little bit of heaven!

Family members boogey boarding.
One of my many early morning walks along the beach and breakwall.
The kids love digging big holes together.
View of the beach from the breakwall.
Below: View from the North Brother Mountain lookout over the Camden Haven Valley.
The river is called the Camden Haven.
North Haven is at the mouth of the river on the left - you can see the breakwall jutting out into the sea.
Cross the road bridge and you arrive in Laurieton.
It's a lovely part of the world there Brona, I haven't been for much too long. Thanks for your wonderful pictures, it looks like perfect Aussie summer. I hope you were able to avoid the heat this week.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I was at work on Friday for the 45 degree day with no air-con! Fortunately due to lack of customers I took a 2 hour early mark and went home to a cool bath!
DeleteThe beach looks very inviting, especially from the northern hemisphere where it's winter. Although I don't envy the 45C heat.
ReplyDeletePerfect photos - such a contrast to the view from my window today (snow).
ReplyDeleteBeach photos are just what I need right now, as I sit here shivering...lol. Thanks for sharing them. They are so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Love the buried in sand one and the last one. THANKS for sharing.

My Saturday Snapshot
Oh Brona, that does look like heaven right now! It was so cold this morning when we got up that there were 'frost feathers' on the windows. The fires are just now taking the chill off the house, but I'm still bundled under a blanket at the computer, hot coffee beside me! Oh to be strolling that warm sunny beach!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I'm in love with the shots you shared with us. I feel like I need to get on the next plane and find you all at the beach!!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold here in NJ that it makes me feel good to see the sun on the beach. Thanks, Brona!
ReplyDeleteWe are in Las Vegas at the moment so it is not so strange to see photos of summer as it is always sunny here.
ReplyDeleteBut when we are back home in Toronto with the snow and grey skies it makes me envious for warm weather.
Thanks for dropping by and visiting.
What fabulous pictures! And it looks lovely and warm. My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/xnBo7
