Saturday Snapshot 24th November

Saturday Snapshot is a meme hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.
The rules are simple:

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

The days are lengthening. The nights are warming.
Summer is just around the corner.

The garden is still revelling in the spring rains.
Everything looks green, fresh and very alive.

I've forgotten the name of the above plant, but I love how its flowers delicately hang underneath the leaves in an umbrella fashion.

The hebes (above and below) make me smile every morning with their pastel prettiness.

The herbs and vegies are a sign of future family meals.

Parsley flowers (above)
Cherry tomatoes (below)

And the signs of summer - the first lavender spike (above)
and the first agapanthus flower head about to pop open (below).

  1. How pretty your garden must be Brona, I love that third one particularly. Your agapanthus are much ahead of ours, we have tight green buds so far.

  2. You've really captured the springing to life all around you, as we watch our trees and plants growing brittle prepared for winter. Here's Mine

  9. These are beautiful shots. Your weather warms as ours gets cooler. :-)
I have had issues with blogger lately in the fonts - When I want the basics it adds color and fonts. Not sure if I changed a setting somewhere but it is more time consuming to fix. I have to type in html mode most of the time now.

  10. Beautifl flowers, and I can tell from the light and colour that the sun is shining. Here it has been dark and raining most of the day, the leaves are mostly off the trees, and the river has flooded... roll on spring! My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/zAoio

  15. Lovely photos. It is funny as some of the flowers look so exotic, and then there is lavender.

  16. How nice to see flowers blooming. I rescued a few pots of geraniums from my yard and they are still blooming in a sunny window, but everything outside has gone to sleep until spring.
