First Fleeters Memorial

Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park - First Fleeters Memorial

The First Fleeters Memorial was officially opened in 2016 to accommodate hundreds of pioneer graves moved several times already, into one home. The area has been a designated cemetery for the early settlers since 1888.

The Park has also become home to a Stolen Generations Memorial, a military and police memorial and a memorial for Arthur Stace "Mr Eternity".
I hope to return with pics of these memorials one day soon...

But for now, I recently visited ESMP in the late afternoon & captured the setting sun on the early settlers tombstones in and around the First Fleeters Memorial.

  1. Beautiful photos of a serene setting. You did a great job of creating a mood with your pictures of evening shadows on the markers. Very nice photos of a lovely place.
My Saturday Snapshot post features a walk behind a waterfall.
