Grayson Perry MCA Exhibition

Controversial, renowned and flamboyant British artist Grayson Perry is currently exhibiting at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art. He uses traditional art forms to explore modern themes such as the political, social, cultural, sexual, family, art, religion and war. His work can be confronting, humorous, startling, off-putting and thought-provoking - all in one moment.
It was a fascinating morning excursion.
I love learning something new and being gently pushed outside my comfort zone.

Sadly the 'T' is missing from this entrance artwork!

I loved how he mixed the classical beauty of his pots with modern images.

  1. Thanks for this, I love his pieces. Now I'm off to find out more about him.

  2. Thanks for taking me with you on your gallery visit. I love them all.

  3. What a lot of variety! I love how he plays with old-fashioned forms but with new ideas.

  4. Although I have seen his pottery, really interesting to see his work in other media.

  5. What interesting artwork! I love pieces that are just not what you'd expect!

  6. I'd never heard of Grayson Perry before this exhibition. Sadly I didn't get to see it. I know I would have enjoyed it.
