Sculptures by the Sea 2014

Sculptures by the Sea is an annual event held on the beaches and cliff walk between Bondi Beach & Tamarama.

It's a 2 km walk with more than a 100 sculptures overlooking some of the most beautiful coastline in the world.
We like to go in the cool of the evening to avoid the big crowds.
It also makes for some spectacular sunset photos.

If you'd like to see some of my pics from previous Sculptures by the Sea, please click on the link at the beginning.
But for now, I give you Sculptures by the Sea, 2014.

  1. Every year I see your pictures and every year I think I really must go to that this year. And every year I don't make it there. I must change this pattern. It looks so fantastic. I love the peacock. The grove, and those upside down red trees.

    1. It really is a wonderful event Louise. Timing is everything though. During the day on the weekend is a nightmare. Weekdays, early morning or late evening are the best times (although more & more people are doing it this way too!)

  5. That would be a wonderful walk. I will have to make the effort to go back to Bondi and make this walk when I visit Australia next, even if the sculptures aren't out.

    1. Definitely Sean - the walk between Bondi & Coogee is wonderful, although I haven't done it for years either myself.

  9. Beautiful sculptures in a gorgeous setting. As I scrolled down the page, I'd think, "That's my favorite!" and then I'd see the next one and it would become my favorite too! You did an amazing job of capturing the art in its surroundings. Wish I could be there.

    1. Part of the fun of the event is taking 'interesting' photos. Mr Seasons and I get a little competitive about trying to get the best shot!!

  10. WOW! What a wonderful event - and your photos are gorgeous! You've really captured the beauty of both the sculptures and the outdoor venue. The light in many of your photos is perfect. Nicely done - looks like it was fun!
